Me and Dale's Shadow
Shadow was born February 11, 2002

We would like to introduce you to our newest member of the family. Dale's Shadow was born February 11, 2002. We call him "Shadow". He was named after Dale Earnhardt because he was our favorite Nascar driver! He was not supposed to weigh over 4 pounds, but he now weighs 9 pounds!

Shadow has brought us such joy since he's been with us. When it's time to go outside we put his collar and leash on him. He picks up the end of his leash and takes it to the door (with his head high in the air). Every night he shares an apple with Dave! This is their bonding time. He loves to go on trips and riding in the car. He's done quite well on 14-hour trips to visit family. Please view the photos below of Shadow growing up.

Member Of The Family

What would I do without you,
My precious furry friend?...
Part mischief, but all blessing,
And faithful to the end!

You look at me with your eyes of love;
You never hold a grudge...
You think I'm far too wonderful
To criticize or judge.

It seems your greatest joy in life,
is being close to me...
I think God knew how comforting
Your warm, soft fur would be.

I know you think you're human,
But I'm glad it isn't true...
The world would be a nicer place
If folks were more like you.

A few short years are all we have,
One day we'll have to part...
But you, my pet, will always have
A place within my heart.
